Austral Plywoods Hoop Pine plywood is perfect for walls and ceilings, especially when a clear finish is specified. We recommend our Interior grade plywood for this purpose.
Why Interior?
Our Interior plywood has a lighter, brighter and more consistent colour than the Exterior grade, making it ideal for clear finishing. This is achieved through shorter hot press times at lower temperatures, thereby maintaining a light, natural appearance. We manufacture our Interior plywood with a C-Bond glue system which is white in colour, thus eliminating any "bleed through" issues that could otherwise affect appearance.

Featured Project - Melbourne Recital Centre
The new Melbourne Recital Centre is a 1000 seat $75m auditorium designed to be acoustically perfect. The walls and ceilings are lined with Austral Plywoods "A" grade Hoop Pine plywood, specifically chosen for its acoustic and aesthetic properties. The inside of the auditorium is quite amazing, "like walking around inside a well crafted musical instrument". (Watch video)
